Our History

Drawing from a history of workers’ education and evening Colleges, Riverina Community College was founded as Riverina Evening College in 1982 before being renamed Regional Evening College in 1985 under the NSW Board of Adult Education.

Courses were taught throughout the Riverina, locations including Gundagai, Junee, Coolamon, Deniliquin, Wagga Wagga, Hay and Coleambally.

Since 1990, the College’s name was changed to Riverina Community College Inc. and operated as an association. During this time, classes were taught at various schools within the Riverina before moving to a permanent location (our current location) in 1992.

Since the move, the College has been able to focus on the delivery of Vocational Education and Training (VET ), the expansion of lifestyle and leisure courses and quality programs for our community. In 2003 the College became a not-for-profit organisation and company under the name Riverina Community College Limited.

Riverina Community College Limited amalgamated in September 2013 with a like-minded organisation, integratedliving Australia Limited, a not-for profit company with its registered office in Muswellbrook. Both organisations have an excellent reputation for service and innovation, have a regional focus and similar vision, mission and values. The two organisations were seeking expanded opportunities and believed amalgamation would open access to new markets and serve a much wider community within rural and regional Australia.

Riverina Community College’s Strategic Plan is designed to enrich communities and support individuals through community and individual development options, with emphasis on enhancing employment opportunities through relevant, outcomes focused training programs.
